I'm assuming that Laughlin is in the middle of nowhere or a not commonly traveled place.

Too bad, I have reservations at John Asquaga's Nugget in Reno (excellent hotel) for $59/night right after x-mas.

Yeah, pretty much. It's on the Arizona/ Nevada border. Bullhead city is on the Arizona side with no gambling. I'm in Flagstaff AZ so its only a 4-5 hour drive.
