As a matter of fact, yes. It says "all 777 acounts have been used". I signed up a friend, giving them all of my $97 in referals. So if people want to go with Dreamhost, you can get the whole gig (domain, same plan etc) for a $22 and change.

Anyone experience anything different?
 
Dont worry guys, you're not missing out on anything big here. I have been using this $9.24 plan for months now and once your site gets even alittle traffic it gets shut down temporarily. I mean litterally all pages from your website get shut down for about 30 mins or so. It happens everytime. Its a script they run on the server.

I call bull$hit on that. I use them to run several popular sites and this has NEVER occurred. I use upwards of 200gb per month of bandwidth.
 
Oh well, that's all moot now anyway. I have confirmed that this deal IS officially dead. When you try and use the promo code it says they're all used up.
 
Do you guys know if the deal is valid for one year only? Or is the same rate just charged to you when its time to renew?
 
I got 2 several weeks ago during the 9.99 deal, but liked em, so got the 24 a year deal for a friend.

It would been cheaper to just get a domain registered for 9.95 a year and host it on my account, but I wanted a seperate account for him, and hey, its 2 bucks a moth for registation AND hosting.

I have found them to have decent hosting, although they are vanilla, they have some EZ one click installs for blogging, forums, mambo ETC that make learning to do your own thing easy. I never had a website before and now feel like a half way competent person to post my crap on a blog and run my own little forum.

I believe that the 9.95 one is dead. I do know that if you use the code "7BACKNOW" you will basically get $7 off (so..your first month).

If I remember correctly though, there was someone out there who had a code for$97 off (it might have been on slickdeals though)

Well afaik you can't host a website yet, but there's software to host a forum. Its called keyforum.
