$9.24/yr hosting @ dreamhost

Sure enough. Price dropped from $119.40 to $9.24 for a whole year of hosting plus free domain name. Yowsa!

EDIT: Just saw that this deal was posted last October at fatwallet. So the good news is that it's nothing new and will likely be around for a while...

Hmmmm.... how reputable is this host?

i've heard good things from a coworker...

i signed up... don't have anything that needs to be hosted at the moment, but you can never have enough web space 😛

I've only heard good things about this host. I've seen advertising by them in major magazines. For $9.24 or whatever it comes out to, how can you go wrong.

A .com/2.4 gigs storage/120 gigs of bandwidth a month... HOOOOWWEEYY.

That beats my current plan under the free 3 years from 1and1. I only get 5 gigs of bandiwdth from them.

haha this is my first hosting company ive dealt with and i have nooooooo clue what im doing. i cant even set up my email, no clue how to use dreamhost, anyone know of a page where noobs can learn from? i consider myself kind of computer savvy yet when it comes to making a webpage no idea how.

Maybe this belongs in another forum, but how hard would it be for someone who is only semi-computer literate to set up a PHP styled discussion forum at DreamHost?

I've been using their service since January. No complaints on my end but why would there be any considering the price 🙂 Can't beat <$10 for a full year with 120gb bandwidth per month (99.999% chance that I will never get to that point)

Seems like I missed out on this deal. I use that 777 code and it takes the price down to about $100 for a year.

try signing up for 12 months. seems like if you try getting 2 years, the deal doesnt really work.
