6'4" 8th grader?!?!?!?
On one of my many trips to AAU nationals, there were 8th graders that were 6'8" and 6'9". The "Atlanta Celtics" had 3 players that were over 6'7". A 6'4" 8th grader is more common than you think at that level of play.

No one is disputing who you seeing 'playing'...however; there aren't that many 6'4" men yet alone 8th graders around.

Average height in the US is like 5'10.5" now. 6'4" is nothing unusual, especially when you're looking at a sport that favors taller athletes like basketball. A 6'4" athlete with the athletic ability and technique more commonly found in 5'10" athletes however, is unusual and attracts the attention of colleges.

I know athletes normally have pretty easy class schedules, but this kid is gonna be 14 years old taking college classes. In order to remain eligible he has to meet certain NCAA standards.
