Seems like a good price but be aware that the MY Book series (and others) use encryption on these drives that cannot be turned off.
There's an older thread here on it here that has a WD representative posting in it.

So data recovery on these drives wouldn't be possible? From what I read in that thread, the adaptor circuit board that comes with the case has the encryption, not the actual HDD itself. Would removing the HDD from it's case prior to it's initial usage bypass that encryption?

If the drives fail, you're kinda SOL.

Yes, you could shuck the drive and use it in a desktop computer of put it in another external enclosure.
