Hello,
About March of this year, I bought parts to build a computer, then I bought a stick of 512 MG Crucial RAM that was 16T. Now I want to upgrade. I bought a stick of 512 with the same clock speed from the same manufacturer from the same place (newegg), however, this time it said that it was 8T, will this be a problem if I try to run the sticks in dual channel?
Thanks

Actually they may not. Even so, dual channel only increases performance by a measly 2% often. Many times, getting the same speed RAM from the same mfg. is not enough. Im not sure, but I think they have to be the same configuration (16x64, 64², etc). Once again, I am not sure.

I'm currently running dual channel with two 256meg Samsung sticks and a 512meg stick of crucial.
The brand shouldn't matter much.

I have Crucial memory and i have asked them about this. .8T is single sided memory, and .18T is double sided. They should play well together... i just dont know about performance.
