I own three of these motherboards. My goal is to eventually populate each of them with 3GB of RAM. I believe I can do that only with PC2100 or PC2700 RAM.

Given that goal and the fact that I'll never overclock these machines or modify them in any way what-so-ever, which of AMD's processor families can I install in them and expect rock-solid operation and great value for my money.

I understand that AMD is phasing out some of its older Athlon processor lines soon and I want to make sure I can purchase the processors I need while they're still available at a reasonable price.

I currently have Athlon MP 1200MHz processors installed in two machines and an Athlon Tbred XP 2000+ installed in the third.

I would go with any of the Barton processors over the T-Bred. However, your PC-2100 ram will be underclocking via FSB because the Barton family is a 333MHz/200MHz (depending on what version you get) processor.

Bartons are still clock for clock faster than a T-bred because of the 512k cache.

Killrose thank you for your comments.

Reading between the lines of your post I conclude that the AMD Sempron line is complete overkill for my needs.

Meh, as Killrose said, I'd take the Bartons over the T-Bred. But anyhow, I wouln't spent money to upgrade those three. :p
