8meg cache drive question

I just got a new system, with a 7200 rpm drive with 2mb cache. The computer slows when I copy files from disk to disk. Would a 8mb cache drive help solve this problem?

Did you try different channels for the drives if they are both on the same?

Make sure both drives are set to use DMA, for some reason Windows likes to set some drives(optical ones mostly though) to PIO modes.
