My system started to act a while back. This morning I noticed there are a few capacitors with the top inflated, and of those a few have a brown leak stain.

I think the only option I have is to try to repair it myself. I found a place that charges $50 for replacing all caps, which the board does not need, not it is worth it for this board.

1. What would be the sale value of the board if it was fixed?

2. I have a 1.33GHz Athlon (or may be 1.34GHz). What current board could I get that would run this CPU and possibly run a faster one at a later time? It would be inclined to get a mATX board. The main use of this system is net browsing.

the only way it would be worth it to fix the board is if you could buy a few caps (the ones that need to be replaced) for like $5 and fix it yourself. the board is not worth $50 to repair it, and it certainly wouldn't even sell for that much.. IMO either fix it yourself, or just try to sell as is for cheap...

or hey just use it til it goes down :p

I sent am email to EPOX support and was pleasantly surprise by their reply. As a courtesy they will RMA the board to replace the bad capacitors. The only charge is $14 for S$H. I have already sent the board for servicer.
