sector 5's offering insane prices recently. but i never done a rebate w/ them, how is their policy on rebates? do u get them back?

Is there honestly any reason to go to 16GB of RAM? I'm trying to convince myself not to go from 8GB to 16GB... if RAM weren't so cheap right now, it wouldn't be a problem, but $25...

Read some of the terms of the rebate. Here is an interesting piece of it.

For U.S. Residents: If your rebate payment is greater than $5.00, you will receive an American
Express® Prepaid Reward Card issued by AEPCMC under license from American Express Travel Related Services Company, Inc. (the “Reward Card”). Reward cards may be used at merchants in the
United States, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands that accept American Express Cards. The Reward Card is given to you as a reward, refund, rebate or gift and no consideration, value, or money has
been paid by you in exchange for the Reward Card. The Reward Card cannot be used at cruise lines, for recurring billing charges, at casinos or ATMs. The Reward Card is subject to applicable law; a
$2.00 monthly service charge applies but is waived for the initial six (6) months after receipt by cardholder

Ramdrive. With ram so cheap it's well worth it.

The way I think about it is this: When DDR4 comes out, they'll slow down production of DDR3 RAM, and their prices will rise again, the same way DDR2 is right now. I'll kick myself for missing the opportunity to max out my motherboard's RAM for cheap.
