After seeing the specs from the xbitlabs news leak about the G92 and now seeing the inquirer article about the release date estimated at early November, I am wondering whether the price / $ will be better for the 8800GTX or the 9800.
Almost all benchmarks showed that the 8800GTX handles games with intense usage of all DX9+ features. Its frames-per-second scoring is well about 35fps for aforementioned games under resolutions below 1920x1200 (I won't be at or above this res.)
Does anyone have a calculated guess as to the performance increase based on the gpu architecture change?
Also, I am waiting for this launch since Nvidia hasn't dropped the prices on the 8800GTX.
