Hey,

After waiting for the 2900XT and finding out it was over my budget: I now have to decide between the 8800GTS 320mb OCed, 8800GTS 320mb STOCK, 8800GTS 640mb STOCK.

640MB Leadtek 8800GTS: 215 pounds

320MB EVGA 8800GTS Superclocked: 199 pounds

320MB XFX 8800GTS (or similar brand): around 170 pounds

I will be playing at 1280x1024 but do like to turn up the AA and AF as much as possible. I play all sorts of games but some of them (e.g Oblivion) seemed to cause my previous 1950xtx to struggle. I have an e6600 and will most likely over clock it if necessary. I also dont mind OCing the GPU but would prefer not to if it meant a void warranty.

Thanks a lot! :)

Joe

edit: I should add I wont be moving to Vista and DX10 anytime soon...

Dude, in case you havent noticed yet, youre really coming across as a fanboy lately (and this is coming from an Ati fan too)

Also, there are question marks for a reason, that was a question, not a statement :p

Answering the OP I would go for the 640 MB GTS, no doubt... You will need it with future games alot more than you need the extra clocks, which you can get by OCing anyway

I would go with the 640MB card hands down. Even at that low res.
