Could someone with an 8800gts 512 and with the 169.22 drivers (or higher) spare some time and kindly post their results on the Crysis gpu & cpu benchmarks at "very high" at a 1280 resolution?

Thank you for your time.

I'll upload my Crysis cfg file for you tomorrow. It's a perfected one that runs on vvery high settings, with everything tweaked to get maximum visuals whilst maintaining a decent frame rate. It looks beyond amazing, and still runs a good 20-40fps (average being about 28fps) on my 8800 GTS (512mb). Might not seem like a lot. But when you see how amazing it looks. You won't have a problem.

But it took me ages to get it all perfect. From the amount of vegetation, LOD settings, sprite vegetation settings, levels of HDR, number of light passes and beams etc.

Can't do it now as my PC is off, but I'll upload it tomorrow.

Guys, try this:

Everything on High except:
shadows, volumetrics, and particles @ medium

Also, add this to your system.cfg file located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis directory (remove x86 if not on x64)

con_restricted=0
r_motionblur=0
cl_fov=85
r_VSync=0
r_sunshafts=1
e_water_ocean_fft=1
q_Renderer=3
r_colorgrading=1
r_UseEdgeAA=0 <--- this can be 2 if you like

I get amazing FPS with these settings feels like 35-40 constant @ 1680x1050

GPU Test: 20.31
CPU Test: 18.70

Using Forceware 169.25 with Vista x86
1280x1024, DX10, everything on Very High

Core2Duo @ 3.2ghz, 2gb of ram, 8800GTS 512 at stock speeds

WinXP (32bit) Pro SP2; nVidia Drivers 169.21
1680x1050 Q6600 @3.2GHz, eVGA 8800GTS 512MB @ Stock

High Settings

GPU: Min 18.5, Max: 37.3, Avg: 34.5
CPU: Min 16, Max: 36, Avg: 31

Thanks a bunch, I am running everthing on very high, shaders on medium, 2xAA -

1400x900 averaged 41.62 FPS (up from 28.5 using the Pydon Shader Tweak)
1600x1050 averaged 33.44

Very playable at either speed.
