8800GT with free copy of Crysis

Is this a good card?? I am looking for something to replace my X850XT and i wanted to also buy that game, there are no reviews for this card??
 
I ordered one...I better get Crysis or I am going to be disappointed in my impulse purchase. I mean I was going to get one anyway but ordering this one was strictly to also get the game.
 
Thanks, its tough to know what your getting unless you keep up with hardware news, I have this in my cart but am not sure if i shouls wait for prices to fall. will this sell out fast or do I have time??

I think it's a good deal if you intend on getting Crysis right away. If you were going to wait on that, or weren't going to get the game anyway, I wait until prices drop on the 8800GT.

Thanks OP iam in for one. Been sitting on the fence for week whether do buy now or wait for them to come down in price. Couldn't wait any longer 🙂
 
Damn, i just received the eVGA 8800GT superclock that came w/ Quake wars, anyone want to trade Crysis for Quake wars? 😀
 
I got one thanks, I think i will have all night to cancel if i change my mind. I have COD4 not opened yet I think will go back to CC if i get Cryrsis.
 
I went ahead and ordered. If this is the new "hot" pice of hardware, why isn't there any newegg reviews on it? Not a huge deal but I found it strange.

How is the Core clock 650MHz ? Is it able to be overclocked? Will it be a huge difference in my evga 7950gt ko superclocked 512MB card?

I can always do the step up with a newer card in a month or two.

It's a brand new listing due to the new EVGA model # and the fact it includes Crysis. However it's the same Superclocked 650MHz core are the "Quake Wars" version and here are the Newegg reviews.

How is the Core clock 650MHz ? Is it able to be overclocked?

Stock is 600MHz and most will do 700MHz+ on the core. Keep the memory below 2000MHz.

Night and day if you game at 1280x1024 and up, and if you like to enable AA+AF. I just upgraded from an XFX 7950GT XxX. 🙂

I can always do the step up with a newer card in a month or two.

dammit..the evga 8800gt superclocked that is being shipped to me (via ncixus) comes with Quake Wars.. I'd much rather have Crysis. Ah well, no big deal to me. I'll just buy Crysis anyways. Great game choice to show off the card especially to those who are really moving up from a much older card.
 
The best part is that even with this card you still can't play Crysis at full detail and get smooth frames...

that being said this is tempting, if it's still in stock in a few days (payday soon) then I might pick on up.

as long as it's a drastic improvement over my 7950 and I can step up to something in 2.5 months, I guess it'll do.
