8800GT or 9600GT? Better card for $50?

The 2 cards are about the same depending on what version of 9600 you get, some had 64 shaders, other 96 or something, the 96 is G92, cooler and clocks better, I run 800 core on mine!


Which videocards are you talking about?

the 9600GT in the title or maybe the GSO cards?

and what about memory interfaces?

9600GT is a formidable card, quite interesting that its almost half of what the 8800GT is and yet, it can quite come so close to the 8800GT, sometimes matching it as far as you don't turn Anti Aliasing on or VRAM limited scenarios. But definitively for longetivity sake, 8800GT is the best overall.
