Nice! So whatever I upgrade to (not G80 or R600, but the refreshes from either company) I will see a big increase as I currently get just under 6.7k in '06 with the rig in my signature. I feel sorry for a friend of mine though, he's going from a 7950GX2 to an 8800GTX and these scores are practically identical to his so he's spending all that money on a few DirectX 10 titles and not much else (if he actually buys Vista.)

Go to page 6. There its listed at 18,000 or so. Impressive :Q

EDIT: more than double my score with an X1900XT 512 :(

EDIT AGAIN: After further review, it looks like 3D 05 got that 18,000. 11,000 or so for 3D 06. My X1900XT is 5,500 short  Maybe the 8800GTX needs new drivers?

I will wait for official reviews from reputable sites.

A. We dont know if they are even real
B. If they are real, were they done using release or beta drivers?

Victor Wang is reputable in XS, hes one of the first testing new stuff always, so you dont need to doubt his scores

But benching 3dmark 05 is worthless because its awfully CPU limited
06 is good though.. 12 K isnt bad at all :) Remember it is STOCK

Edit : He just updated the scores to 13,700 :Q

it works with nvidia cards too i think, though maybe not for overclocking, but you can use the artifact detection and the temperature monitoring features still

No, you can overclock Nvidia graphics cards with ATI Tool. The 8800GTX in that pic has been overclocked.

anyone else notice he is using a QUAD CORE core 2 cpu. im sure thats having a damn big effect on the cpu score as well as the overall compared to a dual core.

*EDIT* so everyone can see it.

on ATItool when u try to OC an nvidia card the mem is always at 1/4th the actual setting. making it really hard to OC nvidia cards cuz you can only go up by 4 each time instead of one. which in turn means that the mem is either running AT or oced TO 2080mhz. thats some pretty damn fast ddr3 but not unbelievable considering i had my 7900gt up to 2ghz mem at 2.2 volts on air.

see what i mean. the sm2.0 and sm 3.0 scores arnt even that much improved over the 7950. only 1k per core. the cpu score is however improved by over 2k. quad core FTW!

The card is probably meant for high AA settings anyway... with the new memory controller and all... futuremark is stupid to still be at 1280 without AA.. I hope their dx10 benchmark is realistic

am i the only one who wonders why its always the same weird ****** happening in the forums prior the launch of new hardware? take this guy Victor Wang, uh..posting some faked photoshopped pics of himself wearin a white smoking and ******. mustnt he have `james bond style` connections just to get hands on one of the new cards and whats he doin with the board now that he has it? two lousy runs of 3dmark within 2 days..woohoo! thats not benchmarking. maybe iam paranoid but this crap looks like well placed marketing to me. all u need is a big forum that can spread every bs around the world as fast as the internet can send it - xs.org in this case. now place a minimum of *hot* info and there u go...the crowd goes wild. this is how u create a hype these days i guess, even if ur product has major power consumption flaws...**** this.

But why does the memory say 520MHz?

I wondered that myself.. Wasnt it supposed to be AT LEAST 900?
