Roger DAT!

I'd 3rd that.
Never did like the quality of TT products that I've used and never will understand the mainstream fascination.

Can anyone tell me if riva tuner is capable of controlling the speed of the fan while it is plugged into to MOBO chasis?

the reason I asked is because my temps are practically the same with the Chasis fan disabled and Riva tuner running and with the chasis fan enabled and riva tuner disabled.

If I want to continue to use riva tuner do I need to find a 4 pin to 3 pin connector to plug the Zalman into the graphics card?

Contrary to my previous statements, I decided to go with a 8800GT. I got the Evga just in case it's too loud and I want to get a quieter one I can stepup to the 8800GTS or a high end card in March. I'm curious to see in my Antec 900 (with side panel fan) if it needs to spin up as some of these other guys' cases. We'll find out and it nagged the heck out of me that the GTS 512 was neutered so much by the 256bit memory interface, making it virtually the same card as the rest of the 8800s.

would this 3-to-4 Pin Power Adapter allow my Zalman VF1000 LED (has a 3 pin instead of 4 pin like stock fan) to be plugged back into the 8800 GT as opposed to be plugged into the MOBO chasis fan?

I too though the 8800GT was very loud. My wife was quite adimant that I do something about it. I put on a Zalman VF 900-cu w/artic silver thermal paste. even plugged directly into a MB fan head running full speed it was very quite. My GPU temps went down considerably maxing out at 67C after playing Crisis for about 2hrs. just be sure to clean your ddr3 chips with alcohol befor putting on the ram heatsinks.

The Accelero is better... Just strap another fan on it, like the one that comes with the Intel processor. And you need better thermal tape or epoxy for the RAM heatsinks.
