I'm still stuck on the ram and the mobo, leaning towards the asus though. Does anyone have experience with the Buffalo ram?

Lite On 52x24x52 Black CDRW - $45
LITE-ON 16X DVD ROM Drive BLACK (XJ-HD166/XJ-HD 165H)- $33
Samsung black floppy - $8
2x Buffalo Technology 512MB 6 Layer PC3700 DDR Memory Module 32X8 (Winbond Module) - $99 each
Abit IC7-G - $212
-or-
Asus P4P800 DELUXE - $148
Intel Pentium 4 / 2.4CGHz - $185

Total(Abit): $681
Total(Asus): $617

Comments are very very welcome! Thanks in advance!

Looks like a nice system, I have heard good things about the bufflo RAM. In fact I almost bought some for myself a few weeks back.

I would personally go with Twinmos/Winbond PC3200 w/ CH-5 chips over the Buffalo. I know the Buffalo is rated higher, but not many people have hit over 220fsb with them.

The reviews on Newegg for the Buffalo are all pretty terrible. Spend $10 more per stick and get Kingston HyperX PC3500 at Outpost.com or Googlegear.com

i hope more peopel start posting aboit the 865. It's something im really looking forward to in the coming summer. I really wouldn't mind forking over for a new rig adn the 2.4c p4
