8600GTS 1GB video memory in Vista

I had another post earlier about my hard drive going crazy in vista....

Since this is a new issue I created a new post...
Seems as if Vista is robbing a lot of memory and putting it dedicated toward video...

Under my device settings it says :

Total available graphics memory 1022MB
dedicated video memory 256MB
System video memory 0MB
Shared System memory 766MB

I think that is why my computer is going nuts! How can one lower the video memory dedicated memory usage?

You can't. The video dedicated memory is the RAM available on the graphics card itself.
