I've heard some people are running into mobo/card problems because many of these cards can achieve very good overlocks with add-on cooling. So much so that the 75-watt limit is in danger, and hardware damage can result (might have been gts...). The reason being, as Cookie said- there is no addition 6-pin connections. Although, for various brands, the pcb is shared between the 8600gt and other models, so with a spare 6-pin connector, and some fine warranty-voiding soldering, you just might be able to deal with that. And in breaking your warranty... You'll be free to run voltage mods of both the pencil and resistor variety on it to make good use of the connector!
