64mb radeon 8500le,has some really strange symptoms:
green tint to screen from bios thru to desktop and into apps everything. The fonts and images have a ghosting effect. The card runs games fine but there is that damn(yellow green) haze over my entire display
mobo gigabyte GA7DX+
dunno if this would be the issue.

Sounds like a monitor problem to me, have you tried degaussing? If that don't fix it, try a different monitor. If the problem is still there re-load your drivers, and if it's still there after you re-load your drivers....RMA your vid card for a replacement.

the thing is,with the other two cards i have here the monitor is perfect.(radeon pci,a gf4mx 440agp,voodoo3 3000 agp all flawless.)
its an envision e77x flat crt about two months old.
this problem only occurs with the radeon.
its really horrendous.

I also have the green tint problem, only after windows XP boots though and only with the Catalyst drivers. Does your monitor show up correctly in the displays tab in ATI control panel? Mine says my KDS xf-9e monitor is an HDTV (ypbpr) and the monitor tab says not-connected. I drop back to pre-cat 6071 drivers and everything works fine.
There are a few others in the Rage3d forums with the same problem, there doesn't seem to be any solution.

I had that problem with my Hercules GF2 pro. I sent it back on warranty and they sent me a new card. It's worked fine ever since. I think it's just the ramdac going bad or something in the output stages.

could also be a loose connection between the monitor and the card, i have seen that before.

I had the same exact problem with a GeForce4 MX. It was quite strange. My GeForce2 Ultra worked flawlessly, and my Radeon 9700 Pro also doesn't have any of those symptoms.
