8500gt power consumption

what is the power consumption of the 8500gt 256mb card, idle and under load? they say the 8800gtx can reach 320W under load which makes me want to vomit!

the rest of the system will be a c2d e4400, p945 mobo, 2*512mb ram, 1 ide 80gb, 1 sata 160gb.

so how much would i need on the 12V rail?

On this page from HardwareZone, it is mentionned that the 8500GT has a power rating of 40 Watts.

Try half that score for the 8800 GTX the Geforce 8800's consume at most in the 160 range, and that is likely only something the Ultra reaches the 8800 GTS is likely around 110W.

The 8500 GT is very frugal your talking somewhere in the 25W-40W range and no more then that.
