don't listen to the negative remarks.
get a lawyer the lawyer will get them to cover the rental car, i had them same thing happen and the laywer got me a rental SUV because i hurt to much to get into a car. also the more damage to your car the more money you can get from them.
And f=ck giving the the guy a break that was his car insurance is for , don't take pity on him take pity on your self , some back injuries can be for life . remember that mine has been on going for 6 years

all you fools that say old people shouldn't drive.. what about rammy teenagers? shift workers who are sleep deprived? all the dope smokers on this forum? people who are mentally distracted because they are having a major life issue like going through a divorce, etc?

truly an asanine statement to put it so simply as "old people shouldn't drive".

what about when you hit 75, but you are still mentally competent? then all of sudden your freedom is taken away.

give it up! as for pain and suffering, how much is going to make you happy? by getting 20k for an accident, what does that really do to help your pain and suffering that you have allegedly received?

I will be very, very, very extremely happy, if the old men re-sue you for "pain and suffering" that you cause him by triying to take him off his money, that you don't deserve & probably don't even need.
you blood sucker!!!

Why is this thread still alive? Is he still bitching about rental car fees?

Jesus H. Q. Christ. If you do, indeed have a herniated disc from that FENDER BENDER, I'll be shocked. Plainly shocked.

Do us all a favor and post x-rays if you're so inclined. I was in a much, MUCH worse accident last year (I full-on t-boned a woman at 30 mph in an intersection, her fault), and the worst I had was some singed armed hair from the airbag and a sore wrist.

Seriously. Herniated disk? If you need vicodin from an accident like yours, cartilage in your spine must be the consistency of jelly.

I'd be shocked too but they are at a loss for what could still be causing me such sharp pains. Even if it was just severe muscle sprains the pain should be getting better and it's clearly not. I tried working through the pain but ended up getting some darvocet on Monday because it was just too much.

I talked with a few initially who would not take the case at the time because of michigan's extremely strict tort law. They wanted to see how my injuries played out. Now that my injuries are still present and long term injury is a pretty realistic outcome, I plan on seeing one early next week.

Yeah thats ridiculous. I'd be livid if some old man who was driving just out of pure stubbornness nailed me and completely screwed up my back. Take 'em to court! One of two things should have happened here, either the old guy should have been sane enough to know when he's unable to drive, or two his family should care enough for him to drive him whereever he needs to go rather than put him and innocent people in risk. Thats the problem in America, noone cares for the old people.
