8400gs $27.99 AMIR + 6.33 shipping

Is too HDCP compatible...... Cut from manufactures page from Newegg link:

"HDCP Capable*
Designed to meet the output protection management specifications of the Blu-ray Disc and HD DVD formats, allowing the playback of encrypted movie content on PCswhen connected to HDCP-compliant displays."

BTW, I have one of these (XFX brand) in my HTPC, and it does a very good job on HD content. Anyone even thinking about using this to play games....has far more problems than just buying this card! But for an HTPC it's a decent purchase

Nice find, but please mention the shipping cost. $6.33 shipping, which sucks, but still a good deal for a HTPC.

well if it has hdcp even better. i have had one before.

for games, its not particularly fast... i'd say geforce 6600gt speed or so. you can play an occasional game or 2 though , if say you are just a WoW player or somethiing it could be enough.

To any of you who have/have had this card: have you used it with Purevideo? I would like to ask one of you to look at your purevideo control panel and let me know what algorithm it uses to decode if you could.

HAWT!

You really can't wrong with these cards for HTPC use (although you'll probably want to silence that fan).

Here's review on the XFX card. Not a bad review for 30.00 card.

Looks like a great value even if it only competes with a 6600 but from the review it seems it may do much better than a 6600 card.
