Hey are you going to throw in a comparison to the p4b266 and sis chipset????

What are the mem ratios offered???

How do the voltages read?? Any different then what other boards reported???

How are your temps?? Different??

there really isnt any point in a direct comparison. so far its slightly faster then the P4B266-C but its all gonna come down to the Cas settings.

voltages are reading on the high side. (im not using a wire mod)
1.5v = 1.56v
1.65v = 1.72v

temps are lower on this board - a good 2-5*C so far.

the usual no ratios beyond 132fsb - but im working on hacking that already 😉

UPDATE
im playin around in the bios....
Cas222 gives a nice 400point 3dmark improvement.
AGP 128mb & 256mb do not show an improvement - i set it back to 64mb.

this board is running really nice so far - no problems 🙂

im still screwing around in the bios
 
Do you have the version with the RAID and FireWire or just the regular one? I'm wondering since I'm thinking about getting this board and a 1.6A and trying to duplicate your success 🙂
 
R08 youre thinking of the P4B533-E. same board i have but has RAID and FW.

so far @ 166fsb this board is way faster then my previous P4B266-C
im still screwin around in the bios - havent found any "magic" switches yet.
 
170fsb turned out to be faster than the P4B266-C too. (due to cas settings)

im still messin around in the bios looking for those "magic" settings 😉
 
Thugsrock when your at 180fsb what is your PCI bus running at? and how much was the mobo and does it only have 3 pci slots?
 
Renob i can run the AGP and PCI speed at ANY SPEED I WANT - its fully adjustable in bios.
the board was $157 (US) shipped from MWave. a bit high but i didnt want to wait.

I have a question regarding the Beta Bios. The filename is P4B533-1007.004 and I can't open it in DOS. Do you re-name this file or what do you do with it since it isn't a ".awd" file?????😱
 
Same here...I always use a DOS boot disk. I kept getting "Read-Open file" errors trying to install Beta "P4B533-1007.003"
 
Anyways my setup is a P4-2.26, ASUS P4B533, 2 X 256MB Samsung PC2700.

I have booted into XP at 2.720, 160FSB but it gets a bit hot and reboots if stressed.
CPU 2.720

Currently I can run stable at 155FSB,1.65v, 1:1 memory, 2.5/2/2/5.
CPU 2.634

I've ordered a better fan for my ALPHA PAL8942-T. I'm using a generic 80mm fan with low CFM(?)right now and the processor temp gets up to 50 degC really fast when stressed.
