810 software overclocking

I have a motherboard with the 810 chipset. I'm looking for software to overclock my chip. Can this be done?

CPU and board spec: PC Chips M766LMRT2 v. 1.3
supports up to 100 Mhz FSB
(currently running at 66 x 6.5 on a Celeron 433)
supports socket 370 and slot 1

Take a look on your motherboard and try to find the clock generator.

It looks like THIS with the crystal next to it usually. The silver oblong shape is the crystal.

Get a tool like SoftFSB or CPUCool 7.2.9 and put in the Clockgen code, from the top of the clockgen package.

If clockgen doesn't support it then probably nothing will, as some CG's cannot be controlled by software. Dell use these to prevent overclocking, the gits.

Good luck!

In CPUCool 7.2.9, I went to go overclock it. Here's the error I get when trying to "set frequency". I guess it has to do with the PLL data.

"Incorrect number of bytes read.
Should be 5 actual 0."

Well, that PLL is supported.

I have found the homepage HERE. Drop him an email with the error. You never know, it may be a bug.

Let me know how it goes!
