Probably their website is not updated. Ad on page 1 shows a I/OMagic 48x16x48 CD-RW at $69.99- $30IR - $20 = $19.99.

Rebate

Also, CD-R Spindle 100-pack, 2.99 after rebates

$39.99 - $17 IR - $20 MIR. Items #20068784, 02236903 (Imation 16X)
$29.99 - $7 IR - $ 20 MIR. Items# 20150694, 20187245.

Models may vary by store. Limited to stock on hand, no rainchecks. B&M only.

Yep your right, I was thinking that too, but the CSR person said, no no no no. lol ;)

I was on hold for like 5mins, than she agreed to do that price. :D

sure if CC carries it and are willing YMMV

no they will not do coupons at CC except their own ..YMMV
Does this drive come with a one year warranty or a three year warranty?
1 yr on 2MB cache drives but you might get an older box that might show in WD's system as a 3 yr ..YMMV..p.s. WD is offering an extension for $19.xx but online for a lmtd time it is $14.xx

$129.99 80gb HD
$ 69.99 IO Magic CDRW 48x16x48
$ 3.99 10 pack Jewel Cases.

$203.97 Total

-$1.99 Instant on Jewel Cases
-$30.00 Instant on the CDRW
-$40 off $200 Floating around

$131.98 total out the door

-$20 MIR on the CDRW
-$40 MIR on HD
-$3 MIR on the Jewel cases

$68.98 Total after all rebates!

Not bad for a CDRW and an 80gb 7200 HD... I'll be doing this at midnight and will let you know.

*EDIT* I'm off by a buck on the Jewel cases so add $1 to the totals.

Deal won't work. With the $30 instant on the CDRW you're price before the coupon will be under $200. Total before coupon needs to be $200.

Houston Business Journal is such a nice online magazine with a very cool preferred partner down the line, especially if you visit the site before 12/31 ;)

Yeh My deal won't work cause of the CDRW but a $30 off $150 is available also. However I think the CDRW is B&M Only :(

Houston Business Journal seems to like DEPOTS and not MAXs... I also don't see any instant rebate on the IOmagic drive... where are you all finding this stuff?

Probably a Hotter Deal - YMMV

BTW, Office Max ad is for the 2 mb drive, not for the 8 mb cache.

OK, went to Best Buy and they had a shelf tag showing same drive for $89.99. This could be a market reaction to Office Max. Have them scan the drive and print a price verification showing $89.99. Go to the nearest Office Max and PM. That's what I did. CSR looked at the Shelf tag I shamelessly "borrowed" and rung it up at $89.99 + tax. Tried to get the 115% PM guarantee but did not push for it.

So final price could be.

$ 89.99 + tax = $97.64 - $40 rebate+ $.37 stamp = $58.01 >>>> $. 725/GB. :D

As always, YMMV. Price at Best Buy could be till 1/04/03, Saturday.

Which BB did you go? This is definitely worth a try. Less rebates and potentially a better deal if it gives a 115% PM.

Best Buy at Orland Park, IL for the price verification and "shelf tag". Office Max at Orland Hills, IL for PM. Stores are 3 blocks (1/2 mile from each other). Next door to the Office Max is a Circuit City. but they don't stock the 2mb and no MIR.

As always, YMMV. $89.99 price is Best Buy B&M only. Good luck!!!

Looks like I'll have to cancel my OfficeMax On-line purchase. Having a hard time on gettting hold of a CSR. :disgust:

The officemax in bellevue, WA blows. The guy said they only pricematch with its price after rebate.
BTW, the WD 80GB selling in bestbuy is 2MB buffer too.

Thanks for the tip, tried at the Rockford OM and they didn't want to PM but finally gave in without giving me the rebate.

Glad that I can help make a deal better. You might like to download this rebate form. Make a photocopy of your receipt. Mail the required things ASAP. I see no reason why we cannot get the $40 MIR. Cheers!!!! :)

I'll try my luck at another Office Max tomorrow, near another Best Buy. I always buy hard drives in pairs anyway.

I went to Circuit City today and I was trying to Price Match Office Max 80 Gig HD 7200 2 MB with their 80 Gig HD 7200 8 MB. At first i didn't see the circuit city's ad with the 60 dollar mail in rebait for the 8MB buffer drive. So office max have the drive for 130 before rebate. After the 40 dollar MIR it's 90. So I price match that with Circuit City and they let me do it. But at that moment the cashier woldn't give the MIR REbate reciept that CC have. They have a 60 bucks MIR> So then i went to some other cashier and was like " i lost my rebate reciept can u print me out another one." So he scanned the bar code on my reciept and printed the rebate. So that means i get a 50 bucks price match and 60 Bucks MIR. So i Payed 90 Bucks for the drive in cash. And 90 - 60 MIR = 30 BUcks final cost. YaY!
