Major Bummer... I tried 6 different Staples in different areas that I could have someone get one for me... NO LUCK... people must have been all over this early.

Oh well... it was a nice hunt!

NEVER call all the stores in your area. The minute the employees get wind of deals this good, they are GONE. Last really good deal I found at Staples the cashier was on the phone to a friend at another store the minute he finished ringing up my order.

Bottom line, call stores and you kill the deal for everybody but store employees.

True, I've even had them lie about item not being in stock, when in fact they were hiding it in the stockroom for themselves. Some can't even contain their anger about someone trying to get in on "their" deal.

haha my buddy does that and once in a while he lets me in on a deal or two. thing is I told him about anandtech in the first place!
funny story though, the HP laptop deals I shot over there and he wasnt working so I asked if they had any. they were in the back "reserved" for him. the manager sold them BOTH to ME!!

Next time I saw him I razzed his a55...
