It was in stock locally, but I opted for delivery and was quoted 3 days also.

I'll second the kudos. Why it's been a week since I bought an 8-meg drive (1.1 TB and counting. woot? Or wtf?)

 
Nice deal...I just got one but I had tax added so my total AR is $75.76.....still a great HD at a great price!!!!! BTW..mine was in stock...zipcode 68516

I tried to order from another location using zip codes provided here but every time i logged in, it would change from in stock back to out of stock! Grrr.... Could you tell me what you did to other this drive?

damn, i can't get the $25 off coupon to work.
or rather, which one is it?

Well i got a message saying something like, - although this item was in stock when put into your cart, you took too damn long trying to figure out how to enter a coupon and are now SOL!

well words to that affect anyway.

I called the 800# for help and the CSR was absolutely great. Its on back order. If it doesn't ship out Friday or Sat, then I'll miss the rebate so I can cancel. She put in the comments about the coupon and talked me through what to check up on to make sure. This was sooo different than dealing with the in-store schmos. Particularly STAPLES as my sig now indicates.

anyway, don't know if it will go through, but y'all might want to consider calling in for a back order. CSR said it should ship in 3 - 7 days.
 
Could not locate the drive on the Office Depot website (sku would not show up even under Maxtor Product listings) but called the local store and they had it and are honoring the $25.00 off $75.00 coupon. Got the $30.00 rebate from the website

Had a friend check the local OD and they had 4 on the shelf. Hope I can get them to honor the $25 of $75 coupon like shle.

If you order it on-line, they'll check the stock of your local store. Select the option to pick the drive up at that store. You should then be able to utilize the $25 off coupon this way.
 
I just printed off the page with the $25 off $75 info on it. I also wrote the referral ID on the page. The manager honored the coupon and (I believe) the cashier put in the referral ID and it took the $25 off that way!!

Great deal!!
 
9 out of 10 times OD is always out of stock on these dealios...

and what's up with some of their stuff not showing up on their menus... like the Kingston 256MB DDR
 
One employee did state that if a product fell below 4 in stock, then you aren't able to pick it up. This made sense to me as there where 3 drives on the shelf when I looked...
 
You can get the web price and use your coupon instore.. I just got back from my local OD, their computer showed the price of 123.84, the computer also accepted the referral ID for the coupon, and printed out the rebate form. This store only had one in stock and thats probably why it was listed as "backordered" online...

 
Will I have a problem with the rebate if I get one on backorder? Technically I will purchase it before the due date even if it isn't shipped. It is OOS at my 07110 zip. I really don't care about the wait time, I am more concerend about losing $30 on the rebate.
It says if purchased between 1/26 and 2/1. Technically I am purchasing it in the corrrect time frame...

Right on the shelf in the store is a tag showing the regular price of $ 139.99 on sale for $123.84 before $30 rebate. I printed out the page from online showing it as being out of stock with the $25 off $75 coupon listed on the bottom. The store manager honored the coupon once she verified it wouldn't let me order online and just deducted the $25 from the $123.84. She did ask to copy my page showing the coupon so she could justify why she gave the discount. The rebate form printed from the register. Now I need a coworker to buy one for me so I can get two rebates and set up raid.

Oh my G-D! I actually got in a a hard drive hot deal!! 😀

Still need to get a bigger drive to capture a whole av video but this will help for now.

Try 32544. We have 3 stores within 20 miles of each other. When I pick mine up today I will ask how many more they have.
 
I JUST NOWGot in on it... though somehow they managed to charge me tax! (8.40).......


But I can live with that 🙂
