802.11n

I'm looking for the best (as in decent performance, but more importantly great wireless reliability) 802.11n Draft 2.0 router. My only other requirement is that it has gigabit wired ports on the unit. Also, I've heard that some routers perform better when paired with certain wireless adapters, so feel free to recommend both a router and an adapter.

I would recommend the Dlink DIR655 for N with Gigabit. I just installed one, very easy to install and update firmware, very strong signal throughout my house. One thing I just learned is that my laptop's wireless adapter (Intel 4965AGN) requires a dual band (ie...two radios in the router 2.4 and 5.0 ghz) in order to achieve throughputs greater than 130-144Mbps. Right now I see a solid 130Mbps on that laptop with the DIR655. There are only a couple of Dual Band N Routers out right now (Dlink 855, WRT600N, DGL4500) and you will pay a premium for them ($160+). www.smallnetbuilder.com has some great wireless charts and reviews to help you in your research.
