That's funny, my Linksys WAP11 and WPC11 work fine for me. I have the BFSR41, the WAP11 plugs into one of its outputs. The USB for the WAP11 is plugged into a WinXP machine. I have a Dell Inspiron 8000 running WinXP professional, the WPC11 fires right up when I turn the laptop on. Works anytime and everytime. You have to configure some settings to make it work, but I'm sure everyone knows that.

Whats the problem??

I think Netgear dropped the ball on this one. The Agere Orinoco also uses the Intersil Prism II chipset... maybe Agere did something with their firmware?

That is also why I went back to Win2k. My wireless NIC didn't work. :|

<< It's turned into a column about misleading labeling and the fact that the current generation of wireless hardware isn't ready for XP, although XP is ready for it. >>

How does this line make you think it's XP's fault?
