802.11b Question

I have a SMC 7004AWBR.

Question about Wireless PCI cards. I know its always a safe bet to you use products from
that same company. However has anyone had problems getting D-Link PCI cards to work
with SMC wireless routers.

Also the new 22MBs PCI cards, will they work with a 11MBs Wireless router?

I have D-Link, Proxim, and Orinoco working with the Wireless Barricade.

I just installed D-Link Air Plus 11/22Mb/sec. it works with the Barricade, at 11Mb/sec.

You usually don't have any problems, but sometimes you get better range if your using the same brand of stuff, plus if you ever need to call for tech support, they won't keep pointing fingers at the other brand saying the problem is there and not with their stuff. The last point is the big reason I usually install same brands for other people, but I use a mirad of stuff on my own network, linksys, d-link, aironet(pre-cisco), etc., but I already know the ins and outs of 802.11(a&b).

LOL, you would think that if they can not point finger they are actualy helpful.
