802.11a hardware Question

Will the Intel PRO/Wireless 5000 Cardbus Adapter work in a PCI carrier that was made for an 802.11b card?

PCI carrier? If I understand what your trying to ask, will a 802.11a PCMCIA card work in a PCI adapter that had an 802.11b PCMCIA card in it. Is that right? Should work but these PCMCIA to PCI adapters can be pretty flaky. Hard to say if it will work for sure without trying it.

Thanks Everyone. I'm wanting to use a cardbus to PCI adapter because the PCI 802.11a PCI adapters are not going to be released for a few weeks yet. I was hoping I could get by for awhile. I need it right now so I will go eith the crappy 802.11b.
