Not sure if it's belong here but I have to let everyone knows if ones order something from. Rumor has it 800.com is closing. If you have any gift certificate, use them now!

🙁 800.com is one of the finest online-only electronics merchants...despite their mostly high-priced merchandise, there were some good engineered deals that many of us got in on 🙁

Rumor has it 800.com is closing. Most of the staff laid off yesterday, the rest being escorted out the door as I write this. I think the "official" day is February 22.

They sure were a great company. I remember once when I ordered some DVDs from them, I got a spiffy little notepad and a free bag of popcorn to enjoy with my movies. Spiffy!! 😀

just looked at the website... they had a whopping 2 DVD players, 1 portable CD player, and 0 receivers available. Looks pretty bleak...

I would also like to pour out a little liqour for the dead 800.com. I will also vouch for the great company they were. They used to be my favorite place to get DVDs and had a great looking site with great customer service. I remember when they first opened, I got 3 DVDs for $1.00. It was The Fifth Element, Pulp Fiction, and The Saint. It was an incredible deal! They will be missed.
