A check of pricegrabber shows $328 at Buy.com, to $350 at Amazon and Dell.

Yeah, it is a good deal. For people who cannot or will not offsite their data (which is undoubtedly the best and most secure option), the ioSafe is an extremely good buy.

Yeah, it is a good deal. For people who cannot or will not offsite their data (which is undoubtedly the best and most secure option), the ioSafe is an extremely good buy.

I'm building a WHS setup at my parents place. I'm tempted to get them one of these to backup the server.

OP, this crowd loves to question. I'm sure you'll grow to appreciate it :).

I am lazy about my own off-site back-ups, but do it over the net (small dos-based program).

Just unclear, where do you see $80 off though?

EDIT: hard to not question fire & waterproof with a fan? Is it full of heatsinks inside and sealed??
