Crack a beer can and toss it into the freezer.

Out comes separated materials: frozen inert materials, liquid alcohol on top.

Bam, a shot of shitty tasting alcohol :D

If I have a glass of scotch before I go to bed around 10am, does that make me a deadbeat alcoholic? Srs.

No, but if you keep scotch in the freezer you shouldn't be aloud to buy it.

Only spirit that goes in the freezer is vodka.

Spirits shouldn't be drank cold; that's kid stuff. If you don't like it enough to drink warm, don't drink it.

This isn't exactly correct. Somewhere around 55deg +/- is the appropriate temp. Warm is hardly correct and people just say this to sound like a snobby hardass.

55F is too cold. ~70F gives the impression of being neutral in temperature, and is better for spirits.

Anyone who puts scotch in the freezer is completely missing the point and has no taste.

it's like mouthwash--take a shot before heading out, no one will know you've been drinking!

:hmm: it used to be spearmint; now it's "mentholmint?"

perhaps they are looking for a new demographic.

Did you know that they use alcohol in thermometers now, instead of mercury? And guess what! They don't cease working at 32F.

i hate alcohol thermometers. we have a few mercury ones squirreled away at the lab. OSHA can take them out of my cold dead hands!

Pro tip... If you don't like it, don't drink it. There's plenty of choices out there where anyone can find something they like.
Pro tip... drink it how you like it, who cares what anyone else thinks.
Pro tip

offering a pro tip to a bad pro tip shows just how stupid the bad pro tip was

Disagree with vodka. The others shouldn't be cold. Well, tequila for me, but that's only because I'm a little girl.

Try Tito's some time. It's made with corn so it's actually pleasant straight and at room temp, unlike most vodkas.

Girl friend accused me of diluting the vodka & scotch. Both were in her commercial freezer. She neglected to notice the thermometer reading almost -40 deg F. At that temp even that stuff freezes. The freezer's thermostat got stuck!

Yep, first time I picked up a bottle of Tito's, I ended up trying some at room temp to see how I liked it... several more shots followed.
