Well? I am getting a sunbeam so noise is NOT an issue. I have heard the 900 a's like 80 mm though. I just want super air cooling at my fingertips, so I want a super fan connected to my sunbeam

I've been running an 80mm Tornado with a rheo for about a year, reason being flexibility because it gets hot here in the summer, so I can maximize stability at the lowest noise level possible. Can't do that with just one fan alone 🙂
Anyways, at about 4,000rpm the noise is quite tolerable, similar to that of the Mechatronics 53CFM/39dBA 80mm I had before this setup. It also cools better because of the lateral stationary fins and thickness of the shroud working to "focus" the air pressure into the heatsink more efficiently.
Johnbear, I think the reason why some say the 80mm is better is because of the smaller "dead spot" under where the motor is housed. The lateral fins help to lessen this effect in these 38mm thick fans. So with that in mind, I'd vote for the 92mm because it is capable of pushing much more air and as an added bonus, the nature of larger fans means lower pitched noise even at lower RPM. HTH 🙂
