8 vs. 16 chip SDRAM memory module?

Given two 128 mb PC133 SDRAM modules, one module with 8 chips (one-side) vs. a module with 16 chips (two-sides), what is the significance of 8 vs. 16 chips per module? High density, vs. low density?

The single sided 8 chip DIMM is higher density than the 16 chip double sided DIMM. That does not mean that the 8 chip DIMM qualifies as a High Density module. Check my FAQs at the top for an explanation.
 
128MB dimm consists of 8 chips, each chip is 128Mbit,
128MB dimm consists of 16 chips, each chip is 64Mbit,
you can say the chips on the first dimm are higher density than the second one.

the other "high density" definition is for those 256MB dimm using 16 128Mbit chips which are 32x4 type instead of normal 16x8 type.
