8 police came to my apartment Friday

My roommates and I had a huge party Friday night. A ton of people came and it got pretty rowdy (music, sweaty, crowded, tons of alcohol). I went to my room at around 1:30/2 AM. Then I left my room around 3:30 AM to walk someone home (by then everyone had left our place). When I opened the door, I was greeted by a whole crowd of cops...

One grabbed my arm right away, pulled me to the side and said
"Do you know what happened here tonight?"
"No... ?"
"A very serious event happened here. You don't know anything about it?"
"No... ?"
"Right. Do you have ID?"
"Yes"
...
"Can I see it?"
"Ok"
He then wrote down every piece of information on my ID
"Well, if you don't know what happened and weren't involved.. you won't be on the cameras and have nothing to worry about."
"Ok bye"


Found out the next day from my roommates (who were at a friends across the hall this whole time) the next day that apparently a huge fight happened after our party...

I live in 401... apparently a kid from 405 was walking down to my party with two friends when kids from 402 went up to him and said, "Yo man you broke our fucking doorknob?"
He claims he said, "Nah I have no idea what you're talking about"
"Yea man you broke our fucking door, come here"
"I seriously have no idea what you are saying?"
"Come in our room, we'll show you?"
(one 405 kid walks into 402)
(402 locks door)
(402 starts beating the shit out of 405 kid)
(405 kid's friends start kicking door trying to get in to help friend)
(405 kid gets back out into hall, bloody)
(402 and 405 start fighting)

- Two brothers are leaving my party (HUGE kids, one super senior, one junior)
- 402 talks shit to them
- They proceed to beat the shit out of 402
- They leave

Fast forward to yesterday... we find out that 402 is PRESSING CHARGES against 405 for breaking their doorknob. Apparently the cameras show: 405 kid willingly walking into 402 and then 405 smashing into the door. It looks like 405 is the bad guys.



So. Can I get into any trouble?
Also, 405 is from my hometown and I am sided with them in this whole matter. They took pictures of 405 kid's face after the incident and are going to (or have already) file their own charges. Anything else they should do?

How hard is it to get a room evicted from an apartment? I don't want to live across from 402 anymore but I want to live here again next year.

If someone pulled me into their room and beat me up... and I knew them... I'd seriously probably beat the fuck out of one of them with something that hurts


So once again: can I get into any trouble? Can I my apartment? The two brothers came out of my room...
 
I'm not sure what state you are in but Dram Shop or social-host liability can bite you if serve alcohol to irresponsible people.

Not for ROTC - while if you sign a contract, the military owns your soul (or bank account, depending on future behavior), you are still technically a civilian with a pseudo-military rank.

Though iirc, he is also in Simultaneous Membership Program (SMP) and is in the Guard (probably paid as an E-5 for Guard duty)... but for most things that happen in the civilian world, you are under civilian authority.
For the MPs to get involved, it basically needs to happen on a military installation, or it has to be an offense committed against another service member.

For people in the military, most offenses not on a military installation are handled completely by local police.
 
What about the 409 peeps? They usually power through messes.

Wait, what? Is the video of the kid trying to kick the door down to help his friend or is this before the whole fight started?
 
Sounds like a bunch of angry kids being dipshits. Move away from ass faces, your life will improve 🙂
 
The video shows at about 2 AM one kid going into 402 and then 405 kids kicking at the door trying to open it. The door knob was broken before the whole incident, but the lock stilll worked (not attached). So, the 402 kids are charging the 405 kids with the broken door knob even though it was broken already. You can't see that much detail on the video... so 402 might actually win. Which is fucked up.
