ATI has this in their control panel (advanced button on display properties setup tab), though I have no idea if it works with more than one monitor...

I haven't Syringered anyone. We just got them wall mounted today and all the cables tied up and managed. It was a bear to configure the screens in the 4x2 array because Windows wasn't reporting the monitor numbers correctly. I am working on a suitable display to put on all 8 monitors for everyone here and will have pics up on Tuesday.

We do think that one of our vid card secondary displays is bad though. We have a single monitor that flickers a bit. We tried a different monitor and cable set (power and DVI) and it still does it, so I might have to pull that vid card and exchange it. I'll wait until I've got suitable pics posted before that's done though.

Spider? I think not....;)

Well, I've got all 8 monitors working now. Found out that the earlier suggestion was correct. Everytime I installed a new card, I had to completely re-install the entire driver package. Monday I will work on getting them wall mounted in an 4x2 array on the wall and then I'll post pics of it. It should be awesome.

The network I monitor is about 30 routers, 500 switches and 4000+ connected hosts. We use IT Monitor by OSI Soft, an amazing application that is completely flexible and configurable. The plan is to setup a comprehensive dashboard in IT Monitor that will display virtually every single critical node on the network visually. In addition to my setup of 8 20" LCD panels, I still have to setup a 4 panel set for the server folks for server monitoring as well. Previously we had a 42" plasma display for this type of thing, however, it suffered some burn in and we stopped using it for static information display like that. The plasma monitor will still be put to use, just in a limited role.

Thanks for the update! So, did the ATI's built-in rotation thing work ok for you?

<-- looking forward to pics as well (no arachnids, please) ;)

Yes, the built in rotation did work for me. In the interests of clean cable routing and space contraints, I mounted the monitors in portrait mode and then faced all the cables toward the center of the display array. The ATI feature, while sort of burried away, worked wonderfully. Anyone know where I can get some 1200x1600 images of hot chicks for the grand display? ;)

EDIT: PM the links please, don't want this to turn into a babe thread and get locked and no nudity will be put on the monitors, although I won't mind getting a PM or two of it either. :D
