I give 8 Mile and Eminem 4 kicks to the groin! Eminem does a great job playing a brooding whiny pale version of a pretentious "Gangsta" Rapper who's misunderstood by his momma, his friends, his girlfriend, his boss, his nieghbors, his dog, his race, his butt buddies and anyone with the sense enough to avoid him. I haven't been moved like this since the last time I ate too many dried prunes on Princes tour bus. Eminem is the modern day James Dean (Minus James Dean acting ability) This movie is the Shizzle and Da Bomb!

Triumph the Insult Comic Dog
This was a great movie..for me to poop on!

Vanilla Ice
It shoulda been me

Ice Tea
Fsckin Honkey

Snoop Dog
Pass the Bong this way White Boy

Richard Simmons
I loved it. Eminem gives me a chubby plus he melts in your mouth, not in your hand

That would be Brian Grazer, the movies executive producer, who happens to be buisness partners with Opey, err Ron Howard.

He WON'T get a best actor nomination. Everyone says that about a lot of people in this situation, but it rarely happens. They've said the same thing about Jim Carey just about every year since The Truman Show. He may get a Golden Globe nom, but I doubt that, too.

I don't much care for Eminem at all, but unfortunately, it does look like a good movie.:(

Where did you see this? They just had the premiere last night. Was it some kind of audience test screening?

Yeah I'd SERIOUSLY be surprised if he ended up with any oscar nominations for this film, just because it seems to "lowbrow" for the acadamy. I think that's why FOTR didn't do better then it did...gotta give awards to crappy artsy movies as opposed to good entertainment.

And don't even get me started on Ron Howard. He's on my list of famous people I'd love to watch mauled by gorillas.

the prerelease screening was a promotional thing done by my college. sponsored by virgin mobile (cell phone company) they gave away free tickets to students and rented out a shitty theater for us to watch it in, but it was a good monday night's entertainment for free!

You too?

I'm oddly drawn to it as well, at least it's getting good reviews so I don't feel too guilty going to it.

is that because at that point it will be pirated by everyone and their mother and so you can download it because you, like much of america, get sick to their stomachs when they think of giving m&m even a little of their money?

or is it because you have a decent video place that doesn't rip you off?

I'm not willing to pay to go see it at the theater so I'll just wait and watch it on DVD. I don't mind giving him any of my money. :):)
