8 Legged Freaks

apoppin

Came out on DVD this last Tues. I just watched it.

Pretty good Holoween Flick. Campy B movie with lots of funny/scary spider scenes.

Any comments? I haven't seen anything posted recently . . .

I saw the TV previews and was led to believe that nobody ever watched it after seeing the storyline and clips. :disgust:

It is definitely a "B" movie and a campy tribute to 1950s movies of the same genre (alien invasions, giant insects and the boy who "knows" that no one believes).

If you like that sort of movie (like "Tremors") . . . then it is worth watching.

Great flick, if you like that kind of movie. Which I do 🙂

Well maybe not "great", but a "sleeper" in it's genre. I think it will eventually be a "classic" much in the same way Tremors is.

It's just the crappy way it was advertised - that awful trailer - that almost kept me from renting it.

I want to see this movie. Not only for the camp/Tremors factor, but because both:

Kari Wührer

and

Scarlett Johansson

are in it! 😀😀😀 Scarlett's simply amazing, and I've liked Kari ever since she was the sexy Agent Tanya in C&C: Red Alert 2 😀

Unfortunately you don't get to see "much" of them . . . it's like a 50's film in that regard.

The spiders themselves are a "hoot" rather like the individual martians in "Mars Attacks".

Silly but entertaining.

if only I didnt hate david arquette so freakin much, I wouldve seen this a while ago.

Maybe I should rent it. I always like to watch tremors whenever it comes on USA or TBS 😀
