8 device vs 16 device RDRAM?

Okay, I got a computer show tomorrow to go to and see if I can score one of those rare TH7II-RAID boards with the ICS 9212-13 DRCG, so wish me luck :D. My problem is what kind of RDRAM to use with my system. I know to use Samsung RDRAM, but I've heard conflicting opinions on which one overclocks better. I posted a thread here a while ago, here , and in this thread I read that 16 device (double sided) RDRAM overclocks better than the single sided (8 device) RDRAM. On the other hand, over at the forums at Overclockers.com Forum I read that the 8 device RIMMs overclock better and run cooler. I am looking for a second opinion. Can somebody verify this? Thanks.

GHz, I just put together a TH7II-RAID with a 1.6a using 16 device Samsung (ICS 9212-03 DRCG though). The system is running stable at 533fsb, memory at 533 also. AGP divider at 2/4 and core voltage at 1.625. I would suggest extra case cooling, a different HS/F, and memory cooling. Both the CPU and memory temp. are around 60c at 100% usage, with stock HS/F and an intake and exhaust fan. BTW, even at this speed my Athlon 1700XP+ at 1.51ghz on a K7S5A with 2100 DDR seems to beat it.

bump, I'm looking for more people so I can statistically analyze what kind of memory is better. :D Thanks.

Do you think the 16 device RDRAM run significantly hotter than the 8? I have 512M of Samsung 16's in my Abit TH7II-R with a 1.8Ghz Northwoods oc'd to 2.2Ghz. My idle temp is about 51C and load about 63C. Room temp is 24C but case temp is 39C. I have the Lian Li 60 Case with standard cooling. I use Arctic Silver 3 instead of the thermal pad of the standard heatsink. I wondered if I had a faulty temp sensor on the Abit (I have ordered a replacement). If this doesn't work I will exchange the 16 device RDRAM for 8 device. Any thoughts?

Well from what I read at the overclockers forum that I linked above, the 16 device RIMMs get hot to the touch, there are certain cooling techniques the boys at overclockers forums used to solve this problem.
