Read it and weep, people. 😛

So I was browsing NVidia's site looking for updated drivers. I see this NTune thing. I figure "Why not?" and download/install it.

After checking out my GPU temp (nifty) I look at my system specs. 😛

I've already uninstalled it. Beware my 8.5GHz of E-Peen Godliness!!!

What chipset do you have? I have a P35 board.

:Q Pooped all over me, INDEED. I have an Intel 965 chipset board (Gigabyte P965-DS3 Rev1.0) 16GHz...imagine that!

I read the notes about NTune before I downloaded it; I saw that all the reporting and overclocking features did not work on non-NVidia chipset MBs...but I figured it could at least get CPU speed down right.

OK, now somebody beat 16GHz!!! NO PHOTOCHOPS ALLOWED!!!

I actually have an nVIDIA chipset board and I got it to recognize 10.1GHz. I don't have a screenshot on me and that computer died (PSU died and killed my harddrives with it).
