I liked Sleeping Dogs. Any word if the DLC is worth a purchase?

Nightmare in North Point is suppose to be good, no idea how the new Year of the Snake is yet but it is probably ok. The rest is really junk imo as most of it is unlocks or basically cheat codes with some extra stuff here and there.

link, I took advantage of the %75 (or 80) discount on the dlc during the summer sale and grabbed pretty much anything that looked like it would be fun. I did skip on the kungu tourny thing cause that just looked gay, with gay 60s film post effects included. It was worth it at the discount, I spent like 7 bucks on the game (Summer sale was a great way of getting steam versions of games I already owned) and 6-7 on dlc packs. Mainly the extra mission and multi item packs, I passed on the outfit packs.

yeah i picked up sleeping dogs during the summer sale with pretty much no expectations and it's honestly one of the better games i've played this year. reminds me a lot of the ill-fated APB game as far as the general set up/gameplay... with you gaining separate levels for cop and criminal xp.

also the graphics look pretty nice... and it has options for enabling 3D. which isn't something i've seen in too many games. if you have a 3D capable TV/monitor it's probably worth picking up just to play around with that.

Year of the Snake is the only story-driven DLC for it.

I like it as it connects with the original plot, has a storyline and is not just some stupid (cosmetic/moves/useless) additions.

I bought the following 3 DLC, these are the most major ones that aren't just items and such:

Nightmare in North Point $1.74
Year of the Snake $1.74
Zodiac Tournament $1.24

I started Zodiac Tournament, I thought the old Kung-Fu film feel was amusing.

I also have an Xbox controller on my PC now, which I didn't have when I first played through the game, so that makes for an interesting difference.

grab that swat and triad dlc for additional missions and cars/outfits too. the missions offer up some good old highway destruction.
