I'm just curious here, for some reason my benchmarks with an overclock activated with sapphire trixx and afterburner closed -- are higher than benchmarks with only using afterburner, trixx closed.

This leads me to believe something is wrong and it is either not applying proper vdroop and/or gpu clocks. I also notice that my temps ramp up faster using MSI afterburner? Which is strange, because GPU clocks are reported by both to be roughly the same.

I haven't delved that far into it, but sapphire trixx seems more reliable. Anyone else notice this?

I'm also noticing high overclocks are more stable with trixx. Also, with afterburner -- my temps take FOREVER to ramp down after high gpu load, whereas with trixx it goes down very quickly. I'm guessing that Trixx is applying vdroop properly and afterburner isn't?

I have no answers yet, but trixx definitely seems more reliable/stable.

Just for whatever its worth to other 7970 owners -- trixx seems the way to go until MSI works their software out.
