If I have two 7950's connected with the crossfire bridge, can I connect one monitor to each card and extended the desktop across monitors? Some people have said yes and some no. Anyone tried it? Seems like it would work to me, but I didn't know if the crossfire bridge connected, even in 2d, would cause issues.
Note that I do not want to game across the monitors. I just want to game in cross fire mode on the monitor hooked up to the primary card. Reason I am asking about this odd request is the two monitors are the Korean 2560x1440 displays with one dual link dvi port per monitor. Instead of paying $70 for a DP to Dual Link DVI converter and using my existing 7950 for both monitors, I was thinking about going crossfire and using each card for 2d with the normal extended desktop across the monitors.
