I dont see how your 7900GTX is worth 0 dollars.

you can upgrade to an 8800GTX with 350-400 dollars.

fair enough, still not willing to shell out that much. Resell value on the GTX surely will drop quite a bit once the 8800 hits, i would say best case scenario is $250 resell at that time meaning $400 out of pocket (assuming no price gouging).

The price of the 7950GX2 will also drop quite a bit when G80 is released which I think will offset any drop in value of the 7900GTX... my advice is hang onto your money for now.

Sell 7900GTX
Buy X1900XT
....
Run F@H
...
Profit :p

j/k.
Your fine were your are. Just OC the hell out of the GTX and you'll get the most for your money. Wait for DX10 cards to come out before you buy since the release date is so close.

With the rumored scores of the 8800GTX being about 10-20% higher than a 7950GX2, I'd say you wouldn't be losing out on much DX9 performance. The extra $300 ($100 extra for the GX2 vs. $400 extra for the 8800GTX) doesn't seem like it would be worth 10-20%. Of course the 3DMark scores are all we have at the moment and even those may be suspect so take it all with a grain of salt.

Looking purely at 7900GTX vs. GX2, I'd say it's worth the upgrade for $100.

Don't get me wrong... I'm not trying to tell you the GX2 isn't faster, its just that unless you are having problems running somthing with it now I think waiting would be a better option for you right now because of DX10.

If money were no object, I'd say go for it... but I think the performance gains while noticible won't be worth the price.

Why not get another 7900GTX then and SLI? (if you dont have a SLI mobo already they seem cheap).

Beats a GX2 IMO, and would cost less than the 8800 too.
