I replaced the video card in one of my pc with a evga 7900gtx 512mb card , old card was a leadtek 7600GT 256mb.
The problem is the system will not play videos back in overlay mode.
If I use any player in overlay mode the screen will flash completely black , play the video for about 5 sec, flash black again, then play for 5 secs and repeat until the video is stopped.
I've reinstalled windows xp twice using the nivdia 162.18 drivers and the beta 163 drivers.
Neither solve the problem.
The only solution I have found is to use vlc in opengl output mode and that plays fine.
But my other apps, like a tv tuner card cannot work in that mode, only overlay.
The card works flawlessly in every 3d game and application I use it on.
world in conflict, medal of honor: airborne demo, bioshock
Opengl works fine in 3dsmax, bodypaint, mudbox.
really can't see whats causing this.
