I had 2 7900GT's. I decided to first try out the vmod on one of them to see how it worked, etc.

Well that one card got up to 680/1920 with 1.4/2.2ish volts.

Then I put in the other card cause I hadn't even took it out of the package yet (and I didn't vmod it yet) and it basically artifacted like hell at the bios screen.

Well, luckly I didn't vmod it so I didn't viod my warrenty (yet :)). Contacted evga, sent out a new one on next day air :p

Enough about evga, I want to vmod this card too. However, I notice the board layout is ever so slightly different.

Picture of my 7900GT board

Here's what all the colors mean:
Red-That wasn't there before :Q
Yellow-Is that still 1.4v?
Pink-Is that still for the extra +.5v?

Also, is the memory vmod the same?

Thanks cause I don't want to fvck this one up on purpose.

Edit: Also the bios version is differnt from my other evga 7900GT. Will they still work in SLI?

Looks like they sent you a BIOS modded Signature series card. It already does 1.45V in 3D mode. No need for the mod. Check the EVGA forums. That is what everyone is getting.

The part number is the same as my old card, but does it do 1.45 in 3d mode?

Are you serious?!?!?

Maby I should try it out before I set it up in my WC loop.

Also, can I still do the memory vmod on it?

I like my 1920mhz memory bandwith :)

Yeah, the part #s are the same. They've just sent the signature series card, with a bios that limits you to whatever specs your original card had. As for the memory, I wouldn't touch it. That is where all the problems are.
